From what I've read, it will be closed until sometime in December.

Thanks for getting the heads-up on this. it will be important to keep in mind.

For folks wondering, it won't be too big of an inconvenience as the mall end of the underpass wasn't handicap accessible and the planned rennovations will make it so. There are also plans to add displays and long overdue sound barriers as the passage shakes when trains are passing by.

People will just need to remember to cross the street when going to and from Back Bay Station is all.

I noticed the announcement on one of the MBTA's new tv's last night as well so it must be a fairly recent announcement.
