Did anyone make a find in the Dealer Room/Artists' Alley that they were particularly surprised to find or proud to buy?

I got a complete set of Haruhi character buttons. I put them on my necktie. I giggled pretty much all the way home.

I've said this in other threads, but my best find of the con was a set of anime advertising posters. I got a poster from the release of the second Tenchi movie, the Card Captor Sakura DVD release, and a three general posters, one from Mezzo, and two of Magic Knight Rayearth. Great stuff.

Now if I can just find a couple frames for Japanese B2 size movie posters without paying for a custom set...*sigh*

I forget who was selling them, but a nice older lady sold me my red Chaos Emerald. I love the Sonic the Hedgehog series and I flipped when I saw they were selling them. Buying it burned a hole in my wallet, but it was worth it.

I snagged a pint glass with the Zelda logo on it from the Artists' Alley. It was such a great idea I couldn't pass it up.

I am a huge fan of Ore no Imouto, so when I saw that a dealer had keychains from the relatively new series (which I was totally not expecting since it was new) I got the biggest **** eating grin on my face from the time I laid my eyes on them till 10 minutes after I bought them.

I knew one of the dealers was supposed to have some of the Hakuoki plushies. On Sunday a Friend decided to get me a plushy or two. I originally was looking for a Miku or Luka Plushy but they where all sold out. Last minute I found one and then noticed the Hakuoki plushies. I had a complete fan girl moment with squeals and I got Saito ^^

I was pretty happy to find a Sengoku Basara and Lucky Star DVD collection, as I do enjoy winding down with some anime when my nose isn't buried in a med textbook lol

I found a giant and very soft chicken plushie, and it makes a nice pillow on my bed. ^^

I couldn't resist buying some pokemon dolls as well. I bought a Pidove, Sandile, Weavile and a Piplup to add to my collection.

As for the Artist Alley, I was delighted to purchase some cute dangly earrings since those are my biggest jewelry craze now. I'm a bit sad that I'm not allowed to wear them in phlebotomy training though... still, they were worth buying.

My friend Miwako was on the hunt for a Pichu, and found one after two days O_O! It was exciting for all of us hahaha.

From the dealers room: I'd have to go with the Nuka-Cola t-shirt, as well as the "Team Edward" shirt that was being sold on the far right side of the dealers room (same aisle as the Stereo-pony (sp?) table. Figured that the only edward to support is that of Radical Ed XD.

From A.A: I couldn't resist purchasing a knitted Black Mage plushie. Being a BM cosplayer, had to grab a mini-me for meself :P

For me, the best purchase had to be the "A Link to the Future" t-shirt I found at a vendor in the Dealer's Room. Back to the Future is my favorite movie of all time, and Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game of all time, so finding something that combined the two like that was just.......piles of awesome.

Oh man, I don't think I can decide. ^^' If I had to choose one though, i think it would have to be a necklace that's in the shape of the top of Fai's staff from Tsubasa. I love it to bits. It's my new 'wear everyday' necklace.

Oh, and since I was cosplaying as Timcanpy, how could I NOT purchase the Tim shirt that said OM NOM NOM on it. xD It totally looks like a pac man shirt with Tim on it instead of pac man. I luvs it.

Best purchase: the Adipose plushie alien from Doctor Who. Also snagged some sweet tumbler glasses from the Artist Alley that had the TARDIS and a Dalek on them from Doctor Who (lol that was so this year's theme). Also scored a giant Timcampy (from D. Gray Man) plushie from Tokyo Kid in Harvard Square.

Hard to say what my favorite purchase was, I guess it was the Wolf's Rain print I bought in Artist's Alley or The 4th stage of Initial D in the Dealers room. :P

Probably the big Professor Layton plushie I found in the Dealer's Room on Friday. I had the biggest fangirl moment when I spotted him, and held on to him for dear life while walking around with him. He's made of that really soft minky fabric. he got more attention on Friday than I did, haha.

In Artist's Alley I found a Layton print I had never seen before and got that quick as I could. I didn't so as much shopping in AA this year like I did last year.

By far my absolute favorite purchase was a Mustache on a Stick from the artists alley. I only wish I could remember the store's name. It actually became part of my costume and every time I stopped by the alley the shopkeepers would tell me how they sold so many after people had seen Waldo sporting a classy fake stache. But the shopkeepers couldn't have possibly been more pleasant to do business with. :)

I'd have to say my two favorite things I purchased were a t-shirt with boo on both sides, one in 'hiding' postion and one in 'chase' position. And from the artisdt gallery, I bought an Azula print which I have framed and hanging in my room.

Got a Haruhi Suzumiya CD for $5, cheapest CD I've ever bought yet was in perfect condition. Heck yeahs. ^^

I also got a necklace from the artists' alley that I really loved... unfortunately it broke barely a month later.

I surprisingly found an imported "Ruroun Kenshin" game and actually bought it for $90. Wasn't worth the extra $50 for the PSP game though :|
