Regrets:
*Not seeing all of my friends who I met online
*Missing a few panels because of conflicts in other things I wanted to see.
*Going to the dance (I was beyond tired both nights)
*Not taking a ton of pictures.
*Not having enough money...lol!

Best unexpected experiences:
*Going to the ball (I had so much fun!)
*I've never been to panels before, because I thought they were boring so going to them was fun.
*HENTAI DUBBING!!!! <3
*AMV's
@ Latherine: I'm sorry you weren't able to get into it. I've learned that that panel and "Bad Anime, Bad!" are popular to the point where you kind of want to get there between 1-2 hours before the panel (Mookie's was an hour ahead, BAB 2)
Oh, so it goes. I should have figured that a popular panel by a popular local webcomic artist would be, well... popular. xD But thank you! Perhaps I'll be able to make it to the panel next year, if he has it again. c: Besides, I got to chat with Mookie in the AA when he wasn't busy and give him my fanart. Which more than made up for not being able to make it to his panel!

Biggest regret: I didn't have many huge regrets this year, only that I didn't take pictures of people who I wish I did now (like that awesome Fai with the staff. I remember yelling at you being all "WOW YOU DIDN'T MAKE THAT DID YOU?!" You know who you are).

Best unexpected experience: I totally wasn't expecting to run into Tatum after I chased him down on Friday. We totally had an awesome talk after he (I'm assuming) recognized me as one of the people who said "OMG IT'S TATUM! HI TATUM!" in the hallway and ran all the way from the Sheraton lobby to ask for a hug.

Biggest regret: Not cutting my wig before the con!! My decision to go to the con was a late one, and my schedule the week before the con was jam-packed so I convinced myself my wig would look okay with the bangs pinned to the side instead of trimming them like I was supposed to. Not so. I looked like a derf all day and there were a couple times where my friends had to adjust my wig for me because you could apparently see my wig cap -_-
Best unexpected experience: Being in somebody's wedding photos!
My friends and I (three of us being Lolitas and the fourth member of our group in geisha-inspired dress) were stopped in the mall by one of the bridesmaids who asked us if we'd be willing to be in the bride's wedding photos. Of course, we expected and took pictures with the lovely bride. It was so flattering of her to ask us!! :D

Oh that's so lovely! I saw the wedding couple with their wedding party while on my way out on Saturday, and they were beautiful. It's so sweet that they asked you to join in the photos!

Makes me wonder if they knew AB was happening that weekend.

Biggest Regret: Not really seeing the Masquerade/Cosplay Chess like I usually do every year

Best Unexpected Experience: By far Trivia for All. I had SO much fun at that panel. Oh yeah, and getting to get my picture/autograph of Sean Schimmel. :D

Regret:
Getting sick right before Anime Boston. It made me sleepy so I couldnt stay out late each night, and I had to leave rooms a few times to calm down my coughing fits. It also messed with my voice, and I regret not taking my companions' advice and shutting up when it wasnt necissary to talk.
Borrowing a friend's shoes for Friday. They dug into my skin and I ended up bleeding after just 2 hours. Paid for it the rest of the weekend.
Missing all the Saturday photoshoots I had been looking forward to; they all coincided with other events I had to attend.

Unexpected suprises:
Getting promoted to Squire. It was like leveling up in awesome.
Having my masq photos come out nicely. My cameras a bit tempermental so getting a lot of non-blurry pics made me really happy.

Not preparing my Maru from xxxHolic cosplay for Sunday ... before Sunday. I couldn't find the silly thing, and had to rewear a cosplay for that day. I didn't mind, but still. It makes for such a cute Easter dress : )

For me, one thing I regretted was not going to the Plushie Porn panel. I wanted to, but, I was just very groggy that night, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to stay awake. Now that I think back, it was probably best I decided to go to sleep than try to push myself to stay awake. :) I hope to see this panel next year if it returns.

As for unexpected experiences, one was getting to talk with AnimeAnthropologist for awhile on Sun. before seeing his Religions In Japan panel. Then, before the Food: Meals & Manners panel started, I saw him leaving the room, and he smiled & told me that he'd see me at another con. :D

Another couple great experiences I had was when I ate at The Pour House:

1.) On Fri. AM, the manager gave me a $10 gift card after I bought a Pour House T-shirt.

2.) When I ate there on Sat. night, one of the people who works there remembered me from 2 years ago. :)

Hah I remember hearing about that, I went to one of the other 18plus shows, but I hear you on the grogginess I almost passed out during the dating game.

Yes, the description of Plushie Porn just sounded SO amusing, that's what intrigued me about it. I've been wondering if other people here on the forums went to it and how it was.

Sorry to hear you almost passed out during the Dating Game. I know I wouldn't have made it if I tried to stay awake for PP.

Like everything else the title was probably misleading, but yeah I was pretty out of it by then. Hours of wandering the convention halls will do that. I think next year I'm going sow a flask into my toga and fill with with cold espresso.

My biggest regret is missing the Saturday night dance for the Cosplay Burlesque show. While it was a great performance, it started like half an hour late and it wasn't worth missing the dance. I didn't get enough party out of my system and now I'm feeling overly excited for next year >_< On the other side, I found a lot of incredible artwork in the artist alley and a Silent Hill 3 wall scroll ^_^

Hmm... I think one of my regrets is not going to as many panels as I would have liked. I usually never go to panels, but this year there were a few I wanted to go to. I only went to two panels, and missed about 3 that I wanted to attend. I also never got to do karaoke, but I really wanted to at some point.

One of my best unexpected experiences was bumping into random friends in the most random ways. xD And singing in the hallways.

Biggest regrets:
-Not having an opportunity to do more private shoots on Sunday.
-Not being shutter-happy enough all three days.
-Not being able to go to any panels (had the opportunity, busy being shutterbugs.)
-Missed the hentai dubbing.

Best unexpected moments:
-Seeing 50+ people showed up on Saturday afternoon for a Vocaloid meetup. I was thinking 20+. Sucks that we had to split and lost more than half to the crowd. Security wasn't happy with us blocking a mostly-deserted hallway with staircases next to it.
-Random cosplayers actually agreed to let me do a quick private shoot with them. That was awesome.
-Nutella+Dora popsicle+egg salad as sandwich. Culinary knowledge expanded.

In all honesty my biggest regret was not going to Anime Boston previous years. I had a great time. Unexpected experience- how nice and cool most of the cosplayers/attendees were.

My biggest regret; GOING TO THE DAMN PLUSHIE WORKSHOP! It was an ENORMOUS waste of time and money. I left enraged at how much I hated it. I basically payed $10 for nothing. I really hope they don't have it next year.

Biggest surprise; Mansty coming up behind me and my mom. I'm picking up my badge and I hear "LAAAAADIES~"
My mom had a heart attack. I laughed my ass off.

Best Unexpected Experience: Getting onstage for Hentai Dubbing.

Before, when everyone was in line, a couple of friends and I were 'campaigning' for Darkwing Duck to get onstage for dubbing Hentai. We get in, and my friends leave to hit the dance, so it's just lonely ol' Darkwing Duck. Waving my cape, jumping up and down, nothing seemed to get me onstage. Moved up a bunch of seats like halfway through when people started to leave, but to no avail.

Finally, it's the last scene they're casting for, and they need one male and one female. I figure, go ALL OUT. I'm with the crowd by the stage, jumping up and down, screaming, waving my gaudy purple cape...

And the stage guys pick Sabretooth.

Aw.

But, because I'm me, I keep waving my cape. I keep going for it, because even if it's a female part, I've got nothing to lose, right?

The room starts chanting. "Darkwing Duck! Darkwing Duck!"

I almost didn't even hear the hosts say that they didn't really have a choice (and, to be honest, I assumed they wouldn't anyway so I was only maybe half listening).

But goddamn if I didn't get to go up on stage and play the HECK out of that female role.

Most exhilarating moment of the con by FAR.

Regret: Not getting into the Dark Side of Pokemon. I was there 20 minutes early. (I changed tactics to an enitre hour, which was overkill for two panels and perfect for the Dating Game and Chess and Closing.)

Biggest Regret: Not talking to as many people or going to as many panels as I would like. :P (Though I had a lot of fun people-watching in the corridors!)
There were SO many surprises and unexpected events. Like getting off the escalator and being rushed by a massive group of Hetalia cosplayers. That was a good one. :D

My biggest regret was not being able to see as many things on Friday as I wanted to. I mostly got caught up the whole time with people taking pictures of me, or getting caught up in conversations with amazing cosplayers. But I do admit, I had fun.

Like I remember a few girls running up to me squeeing because I was cosplaying megurine luka ^^ and the group of black butler cosplayers out me in shock, I had no clue there would be that many all in one place x.x

My regrets would be not being able to find the kh photo shoot ( I was a Xion with a duct tape keyblade), and not being able to get an autograph because the line was to long.

On a side note I did stumble into a session with J. Michale Tatum and loved his stories. Oh and got a chance to go make a plushie at the workshop. The biggest thing that I've learned is to plan a head of time.

This was my first time getting to go after years of wanting to so I had so many regrets!

1. Mostly letting the moody friend I was with determine what events and panels I went to see, I had so much more fun once I met a new group of people and went off with them.
2. Not finishing my cosplay (I'm so lazy).
3. Not being able to get a hotel in the area so I wasn't able to stay that late.

But I did have some awesome unexpected experiences like getting to play twister and pretty pretty princess with the other Kuroshitsuji cosplayers and having another Sasori take a picture with me!

Already planning missions for next year based on my regrets from this past year.

Well, I was so happy to be able to go, and I was even able to stay an extra couple of nights to see the Coheed concert on Monday night. So, it was pretty much the best weekend I've had in a long time. :3

My only regret was leaving really early Friday morning to get down to Boston. I slept the entire afternoon after I got to the hotel room. My friends and I are coming back next year and we're going to travel down the night before so we can be sufficiently rested.
