I felt out of the loop

Last weekend was the first time I've ever heard of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I was shocked when I heard a reference either from the panelist or the audience at every other thing I went to. Apparently guys my age are really into it. I guess I should watch the show before ConnectiCon.

Was anyone else surprised by the MLP craze?

I was lucky that a friend from another forum turned me onto MLP:FIP a couple of months ago. I have to say that I am not a fan of the art style, but the stories are great fun. And being an unashamed fan of the My Little Pony Tales from the early 90s, I'm glad to see the franchise back in action. Now it being such a huge thing at AB I was sort of surprised by.

This con is the first time I have heard of MLP in a long time, and it was always common among girls. Guys are huge into it this time around?

the show is actually fairly new, i think it got aired towards the end of 2010?

either way, im a fan of the show. if you're into dexters lab, fosters home for imaginary kids, and powerpuff girls then this might be right up your alley. it was created by the wife of the guy who made said shows.
