This thread is for posting of Haves and Wants for the Anime Boston 2024 Swap Meet. For those new to the con or the Swap Meet, it's basically where you take your video games, manga, anime or Japanese related items you don't want anymore and trade with other people for the stuff they don't want anymore. You can find all the details on it at the Swap Meet page.

I do ask that people limit their postings to what they have and what they want. Negotiations for trade should either be done in-person at the con or over Private Messages on the forum or some other means (email, IM, Facebook, Twitter, etc). Basically, DON'T MAKE TRADE OFFERS IN THIS THREAD! When people start to do it, it fills the entire thread with back and forth posts between two people that no one else needs to see. If it does happen here a Mod will delete those posts.

EDIT 3/24! How do y'all feel about trading cards?
I have a TON of "vintage" Shonen Jump promo cards, majority being Yu-Gi-Oh! but there are others in there as well. I was a long-time subscriber (right up to the last physical copy delivered in the mail), and even after my subscription ended, they continued to mail me promo cards??? So a lot of these are like-new or have very minimal damage.

I also have late 90s/early 00s Pokemon cards. These are mine from when I was a little kid, so some are in better condition than others, but most of the holos are in decent-to-good shape.

Among other trading card games, I have Neopets, .hack//ENEMY, Zatch Bell, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Monster Rancher (1st edition, I think it's a deck?), and a few other random ones I can't remember off the top of my head.

I'm still too attached to my original Digimon TCG cards, though, so I think I'd only bring them for people to look at, but not to trade. >_<;;;

You don't have to register, it's just first-come-first-served for table space to set up your stuff. So line up on the earlier side of you have a bunch to swap.

As an aside, folks, I have another possible swapping opportunity for some of you. Maybe. This is for Pokemon Go players specifically.

I visited Japan last November and got a few regional exclusives. Not enough to just give away, sadly, but some that nevertheless have stats that are, well, terrible.

I'm setting some very high expectations for this, but I have some regional specific blue flabebes that I am happy to trade to someone during the swap meet, on the condition that you have a blue flabebe you can trade back to me.

3/26 - update, yeah!!

Have dug up tons of doll stuff if anyone is interested.

There's some cute outfits and doll wigs, plus a pair of sparkly 14mm eyes (scale numbers make no sense and aren't real anyway. Ya wanna bring your doll and try stuff on? It'd have to be a Wedn or Thur meet plz)

OK, 3 things to post about!

First, I just added a tiny final update to my list, in this color.

Second, with permission given to me by AB staff, I am going to try an experiment based around the red paperclip trade-up phenomenon. That is to say, I am likely going to fail at this experiment. Rather than said red paperclip, I will be bringing a superball with me this year, and seeing how far up the proverbial food chain I can get from there on up, and I will be calling it "The Super Superball Challenge". Do I expect anything stellar, absolutely not! Do I want to have fun trying, absolutely!

Lastly, also with permission of the AB staff of the event, I will be adding in a special prize with one of my trades this year. I helped crowdfund a vinyl release of a lofi album of Zelda music - Zelda & Chill volume 3 by Mikel. Because of it, I ended up with 2 digital copies along with my record. I don't need a second digital copy, so I thought I'd make things....interesting. Upon the start of the swap meet this year, I will be spinning a digital wheel of all unclaimed trade items, and whatever it lands on will end up being the special trade. If you end up trading for that item, you will be getting a digital copy of this release along with it! I won't be disclosing what it lands on, its going to be a luck of the draw situation. If it doesn't go on Friday, I will re-spin the wheel Saturday and assign it to a new item.
