Magic the Gathering Programming?

I've poked my head into the live gaming area and from what I've seen its pretty dead some times then gets really busy. I missed out last year on most of my time to play some games. I was wondering if theres some sort of schedule to it.
Also, would there be a chance of a formal or informal mtg draft?
